Drive for the Kids Fundraiser
Chrysler Corp. has come up with a way to raise money for local schools as well as to get potential buyers to take a turn in Chrysler's most popular models. The program is called Drive for the Kids, and it's coming to Madisonville Intermediate School on Thursday, Oct. 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. during the school's Fall Festival.
When parents (or any adults) test drive a vehicle that evening and complete a brief questionnaire, Chrysler will donate $5 to the school PTO. Henson Motor Company of Madisonville will provide the vehicles and volunteer personnel, who promise to apply no sales pressure during the program.
The PTO encourages all members of the community who drive to come out that evening to support this partnership between Chrysler and raise money for the school. There is no admission charge for the Fall Festival, but tickets will be sold to enjoy food booths and a haunted house.
There were plenty of sign-ups and a lot of support from the school staff and parents!
Some reps from Chrysler came down and helped with everything also.
While Chrysler and Henson Motor Co. were busy raising money, the Fall Festival was going strong. This is one of the coolest way to get around the school!
The whole place was packed and there were tons of activities going on, including throwing eggs through a target! What else do even you need?!
Needless to say, the whole event went very well.
Madisonville High School Project Graduation
Saturday, January 10th, Madisonville High School held their Annual Project Graduation auction, fund raiser and celebration of the success of the Seniors of 2014-15! Project graduation is a drug and alchohol free event with the objective of giving seniors a safe and fun place to go after their graduation ceremony and one last chance to be together as a class.
Many activities were planned to offset the expenses of holding this event such as raffles, waiting tables for tips, concession stands, food sales, auction donated items. It was a huge success! The food was great, the items in auction were beautiful and the whole night was a lot of fun!
Madisonville High recognizes this event would not be possible without the support of the community and local businesses and how important it is to show the seniors we care about them by giving them something fun and safe to do. They would like to thank any and all that had a part in making this year's Project Graduation great!
The auction was great, a lot of money was raised, and people got some truly unique gifts... And beef!
It was quite a turn out, and everyone who participated helped fund Project Graduation for this year and the next!
What awesome event would be complete without a hard working dessert table? Oh, the servers did a great job too!
The food was great and the line moved quickly, this food staff was on point tonight!
Held on September 17th 2014, Madisonville CISD held an awesome Homecoming parade, festival, bonfire, and homecoming king and queen announcement!
Henson had the honor to provide the rides for some of the Homecoming Queen candidates.
It was a blast!
Also, there was great music...
...to welcome back our home-town champs!
